Dr Nabeel Ilyas is a specialist in paediatric dentistry. Nabeel graduated from King’s College London in 2015. Following a year in general practice in Slough he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial training in Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. He then completed further training in Bristol Dental Hospital in both paediatric and restorative dentistry.
Nabeel went on to complete his specialist training at King’s College Hospital and was awarded an MSc with distinction in paediatric dentistry from King’s College London. He has completed his consultant examinations and is currently completing his consultant training in Birmingham Dental Hospital, incorporating rotations at the prestigious Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Nabeel has gained a wide range of experience in managing children with dental trauma and was awarded the dental trauma UK prize for his work in this field. Nabeel has published in a wide range of dental journals and has lectured nationally on various topics. His interests include acute and long-term trauma management, managing anxious children and the use of inhalation sedation. Nabeel believes in instilling a positive dental attitude in his patients as they move towards adulthood.
