At Abbey House Dental, we are delighted to welcome Dr Ali Abdul Rehman, who joined our practice in September 2025. Dr Rehman brings with him an impressive level of skill, dedication, and compassion for patient care, quickly becoming a well‑liked and respected member of both our clinical team and wider practice community.
Dr Rehman graduated with honours from the prestigious Peninsula Dental School, University of Plymouth, earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS Hons) in 2024. Since then, he has been completing his Foundation Training within the Birmingham and Black Country Scheme, where he has demonstrated exceptional clinical capability and commitment to NHS dentistry. His talent has already been formally recognised — he was awarded the Best in Scheme DFT MS2 Endodontic Case Presentation in February 2025, a testament to his precision, skill, and passion for endodontics.
During his Foundation year, Dr Rehman has completed over 50 root canal treatments, including 25 molar endodontic cases, showcasing his ability to handle complex cases with confidence and high-quality clinical outcomes. His growing expertise in endodontics — combined with his calm, reassuring communication style — makes him especially skilled at treating patients who may be anxious or nervous about dental treatment.
At Abbey House Dental, we are proud to continue delivering high‑quality NHS dentistry, and Dr Rehman plays a vital role in supporting this commitment. His clinical focus includes:
– Routine and complex NHS restorative care
– Emergency and urgent NHS dental treatment
– NHS preventive dentistry and patient education
– Endodontic treatment within NHS criteria

To support our vision of making dentistry accessible for anxious and phobic patients, Dr Rehman is currently undergoing advanced training in IV sedation and inhalation sedation (Happy Air). Sedation dentistry is becoming increasingly important within NHS and private settings, allowing patients to comfortably receive the treatment they need without fear or discomfort.
At Abbey House Dental, the addition of another sedation‑trained clinician helps us continue to:
